Occupational Health Card (OHC)
The Occupational Health Card (OHC) is a mandatory requirement for individuals working in specific industries such as: restaurants, cafeterias, bakeries, catering, food trading, salons, spas, kindergartens, fitness centers, and similar establishments across the UAE.
Issued by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the OHC ensures that employees are medically fit to work and helps maintain public health and safety standards.
Who Needs an OHC, All staff employed in:
- Food handling
- Personal care
- Public service sectors
Must obtain an Occupational Health Card within 30 days of arrival or visa status change.
Documents Required
- Passport copy
- Visa copy
- One passportsize photo
- Online payment receipt
- Emirates ID copy (optional)
Medical Test Includes
- Xray
- Blood test for infectious diseases
If an employee is outside the UAE and their OHC has expired, it must be renewed within 5 working days of reentry.
